5 Executive Assistant Conferences to Consider in 2027

Dates, learning formats, and travel planning advice to help you choose the right event.

Last updated

A conference is a meaningful investment in your time, your development, and the work you support. The right choice should help you solve a problem you face today or prepare for a responsibility you want to take on next.

These five executive assistant and administrative professional conferences offer different approaches to that development. The guide covers four U.S. conference programs and one London event, including several options for online participation, with practical details to help you choose and plan.

Start with your learning goals, then consider the format, total cost, and time away from the office. Several detailed 2027 agendas are still being developed. Use the official links below to confirm the current program, pass inclusions, and travel dates before booking.

1. EA Ignite

EA Ignite

Spring dates: April 19–21, 2027
Venue: Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, National Harbor, Maryland
A strong fit for: Executive and senior-level assistants developing their partnership with the leaders they support.

EA Ignite is designed for executive and senior-level assistants. The organizer identifies strategic partnership and leadership, communication and operations, technology and innovation, and career growth as its training areas.

That focus makes it worth considering if your responsibilities increasingly involve coordinating across teams, exercising judgment, and helping an executive manage competing priorities. Use those responsibilities to evaluate the program as the Spring 2027 agenda is released.

Before you register

Review the passes and pricing, including the general event pass, certification options, and any day-pass offering. A certification pathway can have a different schedule and different access from the main conference pass. Choose the learning experience first, then build your itinerary around it.

Prepare a specific question to bring to the event, such as how other assistants handle conflicting priorities from several leaders. A focused question gives peer conversations a useful starting point.

Plan your trip

The organizer’s travel guidance recommends Reagan National Airport, DCA, for the National Harbor event. Enter Gaylord National’s full property name when comparing hotels and arranging airport transportation. Check the first activity included in your pass before selecting your arrival flight.

If spring does not fit your calendar, EA Ignite Fall is scheduled for November 15–17, 2027, at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport. Check that edition’s registration and program details separately.

2. The EA Campus Conference

The EA Campus Conference

Dates: May 19–21, 2027
Venue: ISH Venues, London, with online attendance available
A strong fit for: Executive assistants who want to combine focused AI training with wider professional development.

The EA Campus Conference combines an AI Masterclass with a broader conference for executive assistants. Its 2027 Full Access Pass includes an AI Masterclass on May 19, followed by two conference days on May 20 and 21. The organizer also lists other ticket options, including online attendance for the main conference.

Compare the full three-day program with the main-conference tickets, including the online option. Consider both the training you want and whether traveling to London fits your schedule and budget.

Before you register

If the AI Masterclass is part of your plan, include it explicitly in your approval request and travel dates. Confirm which activities and recordings your selected ticket includes. Check online ticket inclusions separately from the Full Access Pass.

For virtual attendance, block the live sessions in your calendar using your local time zone. Arrange coverage for that time as you would for an in-person event, so routine work does not consume the training you have paid to attend.

Plan your trip

The venue is ISH Venues at 229 Great Portland Street in central London. Use that address when comparing accommodation and planning the journey from your arrival airport.

If you are traveling internationally, work backward from the first session you intend to attend. Allow time to reach your accommodation, settle in, and be ready to participate. Confirm your hotel’s check-in arrangements if your flight arrives early.

3. IAAP Summit

IAAP Summit

Main conference: July 26–28, 2027
Venue: Sheraton Dallas Hotel, Dallas, Texas
A strong fit for: Assistants seeking a broad range of professional skills, an association community, and opportunities to explore certification.

Hosted by the International Association of Administrative Professionals, IAAP Summit serves administrative professionals across career stages, with in-person and virtual options. Its published 2027 topic areas include workplace technology and AI, data and project skills, communication and influence, and career development.

Consider Summit if you want to strengthen several skills you use together at work. An assistant taking on a larger project, for example, might look for learning that connects project organization, stakeholder communication, and the technology used to manage the work.

Before you register

The organizer lists optional pre-Summit workshops on Sunday, July 25 and also advertises an on-site Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) exam opportunity. Confirm the exam date, eligibility, registration requirements, and any additional cost before finalizing your trip.

Compare the rate that applies to you, including any individual or organizational membership status. The organizer says the hotel booking link is provided after registration, which is useful to know before booking accommodation separately.

Plan your trip

The conference hotel is Sheraton Dallas Hotel at 400 North Olive Street. Use the full property name and address when arranging transportation and accommodation.

4. Administrative Professionals Conference

Administrative Professionals Conference

Dates: September 12–15, 2027
Venue: Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, Kissimmee, Florida
A strong fit for: Executive assistants and administrative teams seeking a broad professional-development program.

The Administrative Professionals Conference, known as APC, is produced by the American Society of Administrative Professionals. It brings together executive assistants and administrative professionals and offers different pass types, including conference and certification options.

APC is worth considering if several people from your organization are attending and their development needs differ. Each person can evaluate the available training against their responsibilities, then bring complementary ideas back to the team.

Before you register

Write down two or three outcomes you want from the event before choosing a pass. You might aim to improve a recurring workflow, communicate more effectively with an executive, or prepare for expanded responsibilities.

If colleagues are attending, plan how you will share what you learn. Agree on the topics each person will explore, compare notes each day, and prepare one combined briefing for your team afterward.

Plan your trip

APC’s official hotel and travel page identifies Orlando International Airport, MCO, and confirms Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee as the venue. Use that page to access the conference hotel arrangements.

When comparing an alternative hotel, include the time and cost of traveling to the conference each day. If colleagues want to share an airport transfer, check flight arrivals, passenger counts, and luggage requirements before selecting a vehicle.

5. Conference for Administrative Excellence

Conference for Administrative Excellence

Overall dates: October 12–15, 2027
Main conference sessions: October 13–15
Venue: Red Rock Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada
A strong fit for: Assistants who prefer a shared learning experience with the same group throughout the main program.

Produced by Office Dynamics, the Conference for Administrative Excellence uses a shared, single-stage format. Attendees experience the main sessions together, giving the group a common foundation for discussions between presentations and at networking events.

The published 2027 theme, The Conductor, focuses on the communication, leadership, judgment, and coordination involved in administrative work. Consider this format if learning with a consistent group appeals to you.

Before you register

The 2027 agenda begins with an optional Elite Assistant Certification experience during the day on October 12, available to in-person participants. Evening check-in and networking also take place October 12. Main conference sessions begin October 13.

Confirm whether your pass includes the certification or whether you need to add it. The organizer also offers livestream attendance and an on-demand option. Compare their access, recordings, and any continuing-education information against your goals before choosing a format.

Plan your trip

Red Rock Resort is away from the Las Vegas Strip. If you are considering another hotel, compare the daily journey to the resort before making a decision. The organizer’s venue and accommodation page includes a 2027 room-block link for the conference property.

Decide whether to attend the October 12 certification or evening activities before booking flights. An itinerary built only around the first main session could leave out part of the experience you intended to attend.

How to choose the right conference for your role

Before seeking approval, compare your shortlist against three questions.

What should change in your work afterward? Choose a specific outcome: a better executive briefing process, a more consistent meeting workflow, stronger project coordination, or a clear plan for using an approved workplace tool. Use that outcome to judge the relevance of the program.

Which format will help you learn? Consider the balance of workshops, presentations, peer discussions, and networking. Check whether a broad selection of sessions or a shared program suits you better. For online events, account for time zones and the protected time you will need to participate.

What is the complete commitment? Compare the full trip and the time away from the office. Optional training can change both the price and the number of hotel nights you need.

Build a complete conference budget

Budget item What to confirm
Registration The exact pass, applicable membership rate, and registration deadline
Additional training Workshops, certification activities, exam fees, or recordings that require a separate purchase
Accommodation Necessary nights, taxes, mandatory property fees, and cancellation terms
Flights or rail Travel dates that support the sessions you plan to attend, baggage, and change flexibility
Ground transportation Airport transfers, any daily hotel-to-venue travel, and planned off-site activities
Meals Which meals are included and which you will need to cover
Work coverage Who handles urgent requests while you are attending

Check registration, hotel, and transportation cancellation terms separately. A change to one part of the trip may not automatically change the others.

Make the case for attending

A useful approval request connects the conference to work your organization needs done. Include the event, total estimated cost, coverage plan, and two or three intended outcomes.

For example, if you want to improve meeting coordination, explain that you plan to bring back a revised preparation checklist, test it with your executive, and share the result with the administrative team.

Set aside time after the event to turn notes into action. Choose one improvement you can implement promptly, share the most relevant learning with colleagues, and follow up with peers whose experience could help with a problem you are working on.

Arrange transportation for your conference

Once you have chosen the event, give the ground transportation the same attention as your flights and hotel. Confirm your arrival details, hotel or conference venue, passenger and luggage counts, and departure plan before the trip begins.
