Shark Week Edition: Best Places to Eat in Martha’s Vineyard

In honor of Shark Week, August 9-16, 2021, here is a list of some of the most delectable dining draws in what better place, than Martha’s Vineyard – where the classic 1975 movie, Jaws was filmed. Just a short ferry ride from Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard includes all of the beaches and restaurants you need for a beautiful summer getaway that’s really not too far away at all. Here are a few restaurants to try the next time you’re on headed to the “Vineyard” for some fun:
Sharky’s Cantina
With a name like that, Sharky’s Cantina easily made our Shark Week list. With two locations, one in Oak Bluffs and one in Edgartown, diners can enjoy freshly made pico to house blend salsa, and tickle their tastebuds with an abundance of traditional Mexican fare and drinks to make even the most fervent Mexican food aficionado happy.
Chesca’s Restaurant
Chesca’s Restaurant is a top-notch Northern Italian-American restaurant in Edgartown. Have a drink on their beautiful front porch that overlook the famous village of Edgartown, or enjoy fine dining, whether you’re in the mood for fresh seafood, steak, or specialty pasta dishes.
L’Etoile Restaurant
L’Etoile Restaurant is an upscale French-inspired restaurant, wine/cocktail bar located in a restored whaling captain’s home. In existence for 34 years, patrons continue to enjoy “seasonally-driven” chef-owned and operated dishes that come from the heart. From fresh fish, game, and other meats, and produce and fruits from local farms.

Dinner with a view! Lookout Tavern is an open, waterfront pub right along the Oak Bluffs shoreline and is a self-proclaimed “Martha’s Vineyard island legend.” Voted Best Sushi Chef for seven years in a row, and Best Lobster Roll for eight years in a row, this casual seaside restaurant also offers specialty seafood dishes, burgers, cocktails, a raw bar, and more.
19 Raw Oyster Bar
