JetBlue Uncouples CEO & President Roles

According to Business Travel News, as part of its restructure plan, JetBlue has named Joanna Geraghty as President and COO. Geraghty has worked for JetBlue since 2005, most recently as EVP of customer experience. Robin Hayes, who was named President in 2013 and also became CEO in 2015, will retain the CEO title and bear responsibility for long-term strategic planning, managing costs and potential expansion into new areas of business.

Geraghty will report to Hayes and will manage airline operations and the carrier’s commercial team. According to Hayes, the structure “will allow focus on the core airline business while providing an organizational structure to innovate and grow in the travel and vacations space.”
