Being a public chauffeur driver requires a license issued by the City of Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP). Licenses are issued for a variety of public chauffeurs, including pedicabs, taxis, and others. If you don’t have a license and operate a public chauffeured vehicle, fines and impoundment can occur.
Public chauffeur training is required and is offered at a variety of locations. Training includes the required components outlined here.
